Qi Gong refers to the energy of the body sometimes called ‘qi’ or ‘ki’ and ‘gong’ meaning work. Qi Gong is differentiated from Tai Chi the intention behind the movement is often focused on breath and movement rather than a martial application like in Tai Chi. Qi Gong helps to circulate and smooth the flow of qi throughout the body to strengthen the immune system, increase energy and calm the mind.
